You’ve decided to turn your free time into cash — that’s awesome! Getting your first online business off the ground can seem tough, and you might be overwhelmed by all the options available to you. From selling products to offering services to working with affiliate marketing programs, there are tons of ways to make money online, but here are ten tried-and-true methods that have worked for others like you. Stick with these tips and get ways to earn Money Online
Start an Online Business
Starting an online business is easy and maybe even easier than starting a brick-and-mortar store. You don’t need retail space, costly equipment, or employees. If you do things right, you don’t have to worry about annoying customers who complain that your hours are inconvenient. And you can make as much money as you want – it’s not like someone else is going to take it away from you at closing time! So if self-employment sounds good and working from home suits your lifestyle, why not consider getting started today? Here are some tips.
Promote Affiliate Products
If you’re looking for an easy way to earn money online, promoting affiliate products is a great option. Think about your current social media activity. Are you always talking about using a certain product or brand? Is there something that so many of your friends have and use on a regular basis? Is there something that’s relevant in almost every post or tweet you make? If so, that could easily be turned into an affiliate partnership! There are plenty of platforms where you can quickly and easily start promoting products or services.
Advertise Your Services
One of the easiest ways to make money online is by advertising your services. This can include things like driving for Uber, or even something as simple as mowing lawns. If you’re in a larger metro area, there are probably services that exist just for these kinds of jobs, but if you’re in a smaller town, you can also try sites like Craigslist. Don’t forget that people don’t just advertise gigs on Craigslist; they also use it to offer services and fill needs they have in their local communities. It could be anything from an extra set of hands to help move furniture into their new home, to babysitting services—anything really!
Try Mystery Shopping
If you’re looking for a way to earn money online, consider becoming a mystery shopper. It’s one of my favorite ways to earn money online because it usually only takes a few hours per week and doesn’t require much commitment on your part. While some people think that it’s too gig-economy-Esque, mystery shopping actually offers a lot of flexibility in that you get to choose your hours and days (although there are some expectations as far as availability). If you want more flexibility, I recommend creating an account on Field Agent—they offer flexible work schedules and (typically) higher pay than other mystery shopping companies.
Offer Freelance Writing Services
To make money online, consider working as a freelance writer. You can offer your services through sites like Elance, oDesk, Freelancer, or Clarity. While you won’t always be able to find work as a full-time freelancer, it’s definitely worth exploring if you enjoy writing and don’t mind doing some extra legwork. If you do bid on work, just make sure your rates are very affordable in comparison to others so that if clients ask for estimates for more work than you expect, you still have some wiggle room.
Become a Virtual Assistant
Have you always wanted to start a business but found that it’s too difficult or too expensive? If so, then becoming a virtual assistant might be just what you need. There are many great companies out there that can help you get started—for free! All you have to do is learn how to be an effective VA and market yourself well. It may not be easy money, but if you find clients you enjoy working with, it could end up being very lucrative. We’ve put together some tips on how to become a successful virtual assistant; if working from home sounds like something that would interest you, read our post today!
Become a Tutor
Take advantage of your specific skills. For example, if you’re good at math, consider tutoring students after school or on weekends. If you have a knack for organization, offer your services as a virtual assistant and charge $10 to $15 an hour. Or set up a shop on Etsy selling items that you make yourself. And if you really love animals, look into pet-sitting or creating an online pet business that lets people post their animals’ profiles and photos on your site (you’ll get paid when they make a sale). Create something valuable enough and you won’t need any initial investment besides your time—and maybe some materials from around your house.
Take Surveys on the Side
There are countless websites out there that will pay you small amounts of money to answer a survey. It’s easy and quick. A common mistake, however, is trying to take surveys whenever you can. If you don’t give surveys your full attention—doing each one for at least a few minutes, being honest about your answers, etc.—you might make $10 on a survey but miss one that would have paid $500. On top of that, some sites put limits on how many surveys you can take; if you reach those limits, too bad for you! Take care of your time so it doesn’t get wasted like that again.
Use Google Opinion Rewards App
Did you know that Google has an app that rewards you for answering questions about your favorite brands? All you have to do is take surveys and give feedback about what you like and don’t like. The information is sent directly to companies, who then use it to make more informed decisions about their products. And best of all, it pays a flat rate of $1 per survey! Take advantage of every little opportunity out there and earn money in your spare time with Google Opinion Rewards.
List Your Home on Airbnb
if you have a spare room in your house or an extra bedroom, renting it out on Airbnb is a great way to earn some extra money online. Simply sign up, confirm your location, and start inviting people to stay at your place. You can also include other members of your household so they can start earning money too. The more rooms you offer, the more likely you are to be booked.
