Butter Chicken Recipe | Make Butter Chicken At Home

Ingredients to use in butter chicken:

To make butter chicken, you have to first marinate it, for which you need roasted chicken, tomato puree, cream, and spices. Non-eaters love this dish, often it is made at the party. You can also try it at home if you want.

  • 400 grams raw chicken

Ingredients for preparing marinets:

  • Two tsp red chili powder
  • Two tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • curd
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
  • 2 tsp mustard oil

For gravy:

  • 2 tsp oil
  • Butter cubes to taste
  • 3 grams cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick, chopped
  • 1 tsp mace
  • 7 cardamom
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp garlic

How to make butter chicken

  • Grind raw chicken in a bowl and add salt, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, and lemon juice. Mix it well.
  • Keep it in the fridge for 2.15 to 20 minutes.
  • Now add salt to it. After this, add salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, Kasuri methi, and mustard oil. Mix it well and keep it in the fridge again for an hour.
  • Roast the marinated chicken in the oven for three-quarters of 30 minutes.

To Make Gravy:

  • Heat butter in a pan with 2 teaspoons of oil.
  • Add cloves, cinnamon stick, mace, and cardamom to it. Fry it and add tomatoes, garlic, and ginger to it. Mix it well and grind it well.
  • In a second pan add two cubes of butter, add ginger and garlic paste to it.
  • Now put in the tomato puree. Now add red chili powder, Kasuri methi, honey, and roasted chicken pieces. Cook it on low heat.
  • Add green chilies, cardamom powder, and cream and mix well.
  • Serve with cream on it.

Recipe note

  • While serving butter chicken, you can garnish it with cream and green chilies.
  • For the vegetarian version of butter chicken, you can use paneer instead of chicken. Paneer can be prepared by marinating it for 5 to 6 hours in a similar way.
